Creating this "CAVIAR" series I was inspired by Andy Warhol. The idea of this series is to create Soviet cans of caviar but at the same time to stylize the artworks to Campbell's soup.
I have not always been a fan of Andy Warhol. His quite strident and vibrant storyline, an obsession with American pop culture, celebrities, money and consumption was something too much for me back then.
But at the moment I have a completely different emotional well-being and I like his courage, audacity and determination not only on the canvases but also in life as he once moved heaven and earth of contemporary art.
